Police: Kingstowne Bank Robbed at Gunpoint Friday

The suspect fled on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

Fairfax County Police are investigating a bank robbery that took place Friday in Kingstowne.

The robbery took place at around 11 a.m. when a man entered the Apple Federal Credit Union located at 6831 Sir Viceroy Drive, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The bank teller complied and the suspect fled on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

Police describe the suspect as black, in his 20s with a skinny build; he was wearing a black sweater, according to police.
