Police Locate Stolen Car at Springfield Town Center

The driver, a Woodbridge resident, faces multiple charges, police said.

Fairfax County Police discovered a stolen car Wednesday at Springfield Town Center and arrested a woman who was driving the car.

While on patrol at the Springfield Town Center, CATT (County Auto Theft Taskforce) officers located a vehicle reported stolen from Prince William County, police said.

A felony traffic stop was conducted and the occupants were detained while the status of the vehicle was confirmed, according to Fairfax County Police.

The female driver, 32-year-old, Shermel Malikah Vickers, of Woodbridge, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II narcotic and no operator’s license, according to police.

The passenger and a child were released.
