Police Look For Senior Home Murder Leads in Vietnamese Community

Fairfax County Police handed out fliers at the Eden Center to find leads in the April 20 murder of a 77-year-old man at a senior center.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police are canvassing the Vietnamese community to find leads on a suspect in last week's murder in a senior center.

Cong Huu Nguyen, 77, was found dead in his apartment at the Little River Glen Senior Retirement Community in Fairfax Thursday, April 20. His death was ruled a homicide, and police are asking for the community's help in finding an unknown suspect.

ABC7 reported that officers handed out fliers Tuesday at the Eden Center, a Vietnamese shopping center in Falls Church. The fliers printed in both Vietnamese and English.

“We have developed information that Mr. Nguyen frequented the Eden Center,” said Officer Megan Hawkins, according to WTOP. “So our officers … are out there handing out canvass fliers.”
