Police: Officer Uses Taser After Resident Throws Corkscrew
Police were called after a man made threats to harm himself and others, according to FCPD.

Fairfax County Police say they used a Taser on a local resident late Tuesday night, after the man made threats to himself and others.
Police were investigating a man who made threats Tuesday night just before midnight in the 5600 block of Bismach Drive, off of Edsall Drive in Fairfax County.
Police say the person was emotionally disturbed and tried to assault an officer. Police say officers attempted to speak to the man, but he ran to the kitchen and made a reference to getting a knife.

He then assaulted an officer by throwing a cork screw at him, police said. The officer deployed the conductive energy weapon (CEW) and the man was taken into custody, police said.
Camilo Scardiglia, 27 of Alexandria was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer.
