Police Report Fatal Hit and Run on Franconia Road
Police say they are looking for a white van or truck that was traveling westbound Sunday at about 10:43 p.m.

A 69-year old man was killed on Franconia Road in a hit and run Sunday night, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police are investigating the overnight fatal pedestrian crash where the vehicle fled the scene, according to police. Around 10:43 p.m. the pedestrian, Khan Khan, 69, of the Alexandria area, was crossing Franconia Road, south to north, in the 5600 block (see map below).
It appears he stopped in the unprotected median to wait for passing traffic when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The vehicle and its driver failed to stop, police said.
