Police Seek Suspect in Kingstowne Grocery Store Theft

Fairfax County Police released this photo Tuesday of a suspect who they say took a full cart of merchandise without paying for it.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Detectives are investigating a grand larceny that took place Thursday, Nov 19 in Kingstowne.

Police say a man, described as a black male 30 to 40 years of age, was seen leaving the Safeway supermarket in the 5900 block of Kingstowne Shopping Center with a full cart of merchandise that was not paid for, totaling over $200. The man left the scene in a brown 1999 Chevrolet Astro van with Washington DC license tags, according to police.
