Power Outages, Traffic Tie-Ups Sunday in Kingstowne Area
VDOT reported at 10:54 a.m. traffic backups of three miles. The I-95 south right lane, right shoulder, and exit ramp are closed.

UPDATE: VDOT continues to report that motorists should ”expect potential delays due to an incident. The south right lane, right shoulder, and exit ramp are closed.” The last update from VDOT was at 11:48 a.m. Sunday.
Power outages are down to just 73 in the immediate area, according to Dominion; the company estimates power should be restored by 2 p.m.

WTOP reports a utility pole caught fire and initially caused about 2,000 homes to go without power Sunday morning.

As of about 11:15 a.m., there are nearly 350 homes without power at Van Dorn and Franconia in the Kingstowne area, according to the Dominion Virginia power outage map. Temperatures in the area are warm and are supposed to hit about 84 degrees. Dominion estimates it will restore power to the area by noon.
