Reckless Motorcycle Driver Prompts Chase In Kingstowne Area

Police say he had been weaving through traffic and driving on the line separating lanes.

Police have arrested a motorcycle driver that reportedly drove recklessly through traffic and led them on a chase in the Kingstowne area Tuesday.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers observed a motorcycle without license plates speeding and weaving through traffic on the dotted line separating lanes at Hayfield Road and Spring Faire Court.

After failing to get the driver to pull over, officers pursed the vehicle. Eventually, he lost control of the vehicle and ran away on foot.

Police caught the driver a short time later. Julio Campos Nixon, 23, of Henrico, Virginia was charged with speed to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, no motorcycle license, no license plates displayed and no registration. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
