Revised Springfield Parking Garage Plans Presented
The revised plan includes more room for commuters using the "slug lines."

Fairfax County presented revised plans for a 1,000-space multi-use commuter garage planned for Springfield just west of Interstate 95. The new plan, discussed at a Monday night community meeting at Edison High School, includes more room for the slugging system.
The updated design accommodates more room for slug lines at multiple locations in the garage. One area could hold up to 18 cars, and another 15 cars. According to WTOP, the previous plan would have allowed six cars each in two slug line spaces.
Slug Lines, a website and app designed to coordinate free carpooling around Virginia and DC, has six locations in the Springfield area.
