Suspected Rose Hill Burglar Arrested: Police

Police say the burglar broke into multiple houses around the area.

ROSE HILL, VA—An active search is happening after a burglar broke into a Rose Hill home Wednesday, Fairfax County Police say.

The burglary happened in an occupied home in the 5800 block of Governors Hill Drive. A resident called police when a man tried to break down his front door. When officers arrived, the front door was open and damaged.

The resident provided a description leading to a Fairfax 1 police helicopter and units searching the area. It turned out multiple homes in the area were broken into. Another resident called in after seeing the man.

Delonte Antwain Wright, 35, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of grand larceny.

The suspect was described as a black man around 20 to 30 years old, 6 foot with a stocky build and full beard. He was wearing a black tank top and a camo printed backpack.
