Shoplifting, Pursuit Ends In Arrests At Kingstowne Towne Center

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Three people are facing charges after shoplifting in Kingstowne Towne Center and unsuccessfully trying to flee Saturday.

Around 5:09 p.m., police received a report of people stealing from a store in the 5800 block of Kingstowne Blvd., 7/21/18, 5:09 p.m. Officers located the suspects, two men and a woman who fled from the scene.

Police quickly caught them during a pursuit.

Tanesha Ford, 30, and Rayvon Williams, 23, both of Washington, DC were charged with shoplifting. Tywone Sommers, 22, of Washington, DC was charged with shoplifting, forging public records, improper registration, false identification to law enforcement, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, eluding and driving without a license.

Stolen Vehicles

• Area of Backlick Rd. and Leesville Blvd., 7/20/18, 6:00 p.m. Officers received a ‘Lojack hit’ about a stolen vehicle near Backlick Rd. and Leesville Blvd. The vehicle was located and the occupants were arrested. The driver, a 17 juvenile, of Alexandria, was charged with grand larceny and driving without a license. An outstanding warrant for failure to appear was also served.

• 6500 block of Springfield Towne Center, 2014 BMW 2800i

Larcenies

• 7200 block of Beulah Street, merchandise from business
• 6300 block of Brandon Avenue, beer from business
• 5700 block of Kingstowne Boulevard, merchandise from business
• 9300 block of Richmond Highway, cell phone from business
• 6600 block of Springfield Towne Center, merchandise from business
