Shots Fired Near Elementary School In Kingstowne Area: Police

Police found shell casings on the ground after a resident heard gunshots in the Kingstowne area.

KINGSTOWNE, VA—Police are investigating shots fired in the Kingstowne area Thursday.

Around 1 p.m., a resident heard gunshots. Police searched and found shell casings in the area of Apple Tree Drive and Willowood Lane in Rose Hill.

According to witness reports, two vehicles were seen fleeing the area. There have been no reports of injuries. Police continue to investigate.
