Springfield 12-Car Accident Injures Five

SPRINGFIELD, VA -- Five people were injured in a 12-car crash on Old Keene Mill Road Tuesday, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says. The five people were transported to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Fairfax County Police reported the incident around 5 p.m. Tuesday on Old Keene Mill Road at Spring Road, right next to the Springfield Plaza shopping center.

The accident closed the road in both directions until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Patch has reached out to Fairfax County Police for information on the cause of the accident. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
