Springfield Is Having A Santa Event For Special Needs Kids
A new event at Springfield Town Center is designed for to give special needs children an unforgettable visit with Santa.

SPRINGFIELD, VA—Santa visits are commonplace for the bustling Springfield Town Center during the holiday season. But the mall is introducing something new this year to give special needs children a magical experience.
On Sunday, Dec. 3, the mall will host an inaugural sensory-friendly event with Santa from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. The visit will be just like other Santa events held at the mall but with accommodations for children's sensory, physical, and developmental needs.
Photos will be available for purchase during the event, and siblings are encouraged to join. The event is free, but RSVPs are recommended.

All regular photos with Santa events are held through Christmas Eve. Santa will generally be there for pictures at 10 a.m. and wrap up a half hour before the mall closes. Christmas Eve hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
In addition, pet photos are held Mondays through Dec. 18. Pets and owners should enter through the mall entrance closest to Dick's Sporting Goods. Owners must sign a release upon arrival and keep pets leashed while inside the shopping center.

Santa can be found at the Grand Court on the first level near the main entrance.
