Springfield Motorcyclist Dies in Crash Wednesday Night: Police
Javier Garamendi Iniguez, 27, was thrown off his motorcycle on the inner loop of the I-495 ramp to the Clara Barton Parkway, police said.

A Springfield area man was killed Wednesday night in a motorcycle crash, according to Maryland State Police.
The crash took place Wednesday at about 8:32 p.m. when Javier Garamendi Iniguez, 27, lost control of his motorcycle on the inner loop of the I-495 ramp to the Clara Barton Parkway (see Google map below), police said.
Iniguez was driving a 2003 Yamaha FZS1000 when he was ejected from the motorcycle and thrown over the jersey wall, police said. The motorcycle continued traveling and struck another vehicle, according to police.

At the time of the crash, Virginia State Police had contacted Maryland State Police to advise them they were in pursuit of the motorcycle before he crossed into Maryland. Police did not say why they were pursuing Iniguez.
Troopers responded to the scene and located Iniguez’s body lying under the ramp, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel, according to police.
