Stabbing Results From Traffic Dispute In Newington

Police say a man was stabbed during the Thursday dispute, and the suspect fled in his vehicle.

NEWINGTON, VA — A stabbing occurred during a traffic dispute in the Newington area Thursday, according to Fairfax County Police.

According to police, two men were involved in the traffic altercation around 7:46 p.m. at Telegraph Road and Rainwater Place. Police believe one man approached the victim’s car and began assaulting the victim. During the assault, the victim was stabbed in the upper body. The suspect got back into his car and drove away. The victim went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An arrest has not been announced.

Commercial Robbery: 6400 Springfield Mall, Springfield (Macy’s), 7/11/21, 9:07 p.m. Qunay Marshall, 28, no fixed address, hid inside the store until closing when she took property and ran away. Officers located her nearby and she was charged with burglary and petit larceny.

Robbery: 6200 Backlick Road, Springfield, 7/13/2021, 12:23 a.m. A man was approached by two men who asked for money which he gave them. A short time later the two men returned asking for more. When the man refused, the two men assaulted him, took his property and ran away. No injuries were reported.
