Stuff The Bus Food Drives To Help With Demand In Fairfax County
The annual food drives are coming up amid growing food demands due to the coronavirus economic impacts.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Stuff the Bus food drives have been held for nine years to replenish food pantries at nonprofits in Fairfax County. This year, the need for food has grown due to the new coronavirus crisis as Stuff the Bus is planned on Saturday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 19
The food drives will take place in Fastran buses at 21 locations throughout Fairfax County. Due to current circumstances, buses will be parked in less-frequented locations rather than grocery store parking lots. Buses will be collecting donations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days.
Individuals are asked to wear coverings when dropping off donations. Items should be taken to the back of the bus, and physical distancing should be followed if others are at the site.
