Summer Concert Series Planned At Lee District Location In 2022
Lee District Nights is planned at Lee District Park in July and August, presenting a variety of musical genres.
FRANCONIA, VA — The summer season has arrived, and that means the return of Lee District Nights concerts.
Lee District Nights is part of the Fairfax County Park Authority’s Summer Entertainment Series at 18 locations in June, July and August. Concerts will be held at Lee District Park's Leonadus K. Plenty Amphitheater, 6601 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
The concerts provide a variety of musical genres, from jazz and big band to bluegrass and rock. Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic basket, blankets and lawn chairs for the free performances.

Here is the schedule:
- July 6: Natyabhoomi School of Dance (Indian dance and music)
- July 13: King Teddy (swing)
- July 20: Junkyard Band (go-go, funk)
- July 27: The United States Air Force Max Impact (rock/pop)
- Aug. 3: Pablo Perez “El Alcalde de La Salsa” (salsa)
- Aug. 10: Alexandria Harmonizers (chorus)
- Aug. 17: The Nighthawks (blues)
- Aug. 24: The United States Army Blues (jazz)

Mount Vernon Nights is a collaboration between Lee District Supervisor Rodney Lusk, supporters of Lee District Nights, Fairfax County Park Authority, Fairfax County Park Foundation and contributions from sponsors Sheehy Auto, Finmarc Management, Hilltop Sand and Gravel, Erickson Senior Living, Dominion Energy, Kingstowne, Transurban, Virginia Commission for the Arts, Greenspring, and National Endowment for the Arts.
