Tip Line Set Up For Brookfield Plaza Shooting In Springfield
Police are seeking videos and information related to the shooting, which injured two people.
SPRINGFIELD, VA—A tip line has been created for the Brookfield Plaza shooting Friday, March 22 in Springfield. Fairfax County Police have identified two people injured by gunshots. Anyone who has videos or other information related to the shooting can call the tip line at 571-234-8055.
Police responded to the parking lot in the 7000 block of Brookfield Plaza after 11 p.m. Friday for a report of a man shot multiple times. Officers found a crowd of about 300 people, prompting them to call for support from surrounding district stations and state police.
Early investigations revealed a fight broke out inside a business holding a private event. The fight moved to the parking lot, where shots were fired.

The first victim was taken to the hospital with initially life-threatening injuries. He continues to receive treatment. The second victim showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg at 4:15 a.m. Saturday. Police confirmed his injuries were related to the Brookfield Plaza shooting.
After the shooting, detectives were canvassing businesses and conducting interviews. No arrests have been announced.
