2 New Restaurants To Join Whole Foods: Media Report

Each eatery will be its chain's first location in the D.C. metro area.

Two up-and-coming restaurant chains will open their first Washington-area locations this fall next to the new Whole Foods in Ashburn.

Habit Burger and Cooper’s Hawk will start up at the Belmont Chase shopping center, according to the Washington Business Journal.

Habit Burger, a California-based chain, offers some of the best­tasting burgers in the country, Consumer Reports said last year.

Cooper’s Hawk is a winery and restaurant that will include a barrel room, tasting room and retail shop. It serves wines it makes with grapes purchased from the West Coast, the Washington Business Journal reported. Cooper’s Hawk has 19 locations throughout the U.S., and it plans to open a location in Reston in 2017.

Whole Foods Market Ashburn, the first in Loudoun County, will open its doors on July 29 at Belmont Chase, the organic grocery chain announced last week. The shopping center is at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway just south of Route 7.
