Update: Police Arrest Suspect Charged With Robbing Elderly Woman
The Woodbridge man is accused of snatching the victim's purse in a Springfield parking lot.

SPRINGFIELD, VA -- A Woodbridge man has been arrested and charged with stealing a purse last week from an elderly woman in a Springfield parking lot, according to the Fairfax County police.
Antonio Williamson, 20, was arrested Monday in Prince William County and charged with robbery, the police said.

The incident occurred at about 10:16 a.m. Friday in the 6600 block of Loisdale Road, near Springfield Town Center, as the robbery victim, 89, was getting into her vehicle. A man approached her, then assaulted her, grabbed her purse and fled, the police said.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and did not need to be taken to a hospital, according to police. Detectives at the Franconia District Station identified Williamson as the suspect and obtained a warrant Friday for his arrest; it was served in Prince William County.
