When Do Kingstowne Pools Open for the Summer?

KINGSTOWNE, VA — Memorial Day is fast approaching and temperatures are heating, and that means it's almost time for the first swim of the season.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 27, the start of Memorial Day Weekend and the unofficial start of summer nearly everywhere. That will be opening day for most pools in the Kingstowne-Rose Hill area.

Below are the pools and hours for the summer season:

South Center: 6080 Kingstowne Village Parkway (membership required)

• May 27-June 23: Monday – Friday, noon-9 p.m., Saturdays & Sundays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
• June 24-September 4: every day, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Snyder Center: 6450 South Van Dorn St. (membership required)

• May 27-June 23: Monday – Friday, noon-9 p.m., Saturdays & Sundays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
• June 24-September 4: every day, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Great Waves Waterpark: 4001 Eisenhower Ave.

• May 27 – June 21: Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays (excluding July 4) 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
• May 30 – June 21: Fridays 1 p.m.-7 p.m.
• June 22: noon-7 p.m.
• June 23-September 4: Monday - Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
• July 4: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Highland Park Pool: 6400 Highland Dr. (membership required)

• May 27-September 4: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Hayfield Farm Swim Club: 7820 Hayfield Rd. (membership required)

• May 20- June 18: Monday - Friday, 4 p.m.-8 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays & Memorial Day, noon - 8 p.m.
• June 19- June 23: 1 p.m.-8 p.m.
• June 24- July 30: Monday - Friday, noon - 9 p.m, Saturdays & Sundays, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
• July 4: 1 p.m.-7 p.m.
• July 12 - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• July 31-September 10: Saturdays, Sundays & Labor Day, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
• July 31 - August 27: Monday - Friday, 11am - 8pm
• August 28 - September 10: Monday - Friday, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
