When And Where To Buy Christmas Trees Near Kingstowne

Between Thanksgiving dinners and other family gatherings you've probably passed the occasional car with a Christmas tree tied to the top. Christmas tree lots and farms near Kingstowne have begun to open in anticipation of families decking out their homes for the holiday season.

Average Christmas tree prices increased from $64 to $73 from 2015 to 2017, according to a report from Square, Inc. in partnership with the National Christmas Tree Association. Data shows prices spike at the beginning of the season: Black Friday prices are $77 on average and Cyber Monday prices are $81.

If you can wait, the best time to buy a tree is within the week of Christmas Day. Customers can save around 22 percent, and the season's lowest average price is $47 on Christmas Eve.

Despite the increase in prices, local tree farms have become profitable for the first time in over 10 years, says the National Christmas Tree Association.

"Now more than ever, we hope to see families support American Christmas tree farmers, and create their own holiday tradition and family memories of choosing a locally grown tree this Christmas," said Tim O’Connor, executive director of the National Christmas Tree Association, in a news release.
