Woman Robbed by Masked Gunman While Sitting in Car

A woman sitting in a car in a shopping center parking lot was robbed at gunpoint last Thursday night, according to police.

The robbery took place in the 7500 block of Telegraph Road, the location of the Hayfield Plaza Shopping Center, at about 10 p.m., police said.

The victim was sitting in a vehicle when a man brandishing a gun approached the car, police said. The suspect demanded the woman’s purse and took off running with the property, police said. The victim did not need medical attention.

The suspect was described as a male, wearing dark pants, dark colored shirt and a black ski mask.
