LEESBURG, VA — The Loudoun County Health Department recorded violations at several facilities around the Leesburg area during recent restaurant inspections. Inspectors conducted the most recently published inspections between June 29 and July 5.
Most COVID-19 restrictions around the state have relaxed, so health inspectors are returning to conduct some restaurant inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

- Pasteurized liquid eggs were found stored next to raw chicken and raw ground beef.
- Bowls and a knife were found stored with moderate food debris on them.
- Multiple boxes of foods found stored on the floor of the walk-in freezer. A bag of onions was observed stored on the walk-in cooler floor.
- Equipment on the line (oven, cold-holding drawers, stove & knife block) were found with heavy food debris on their surfaces and within the drawers.
