Someone had to "settle" for a mere $1 million after buying a ticket for Friday's Mega Millions drawing. One of two such tickets sold in Virginia was from the Gum Spring BP in Mineral.

Authorities arrested a 15-year-old Manassas boy Monday for making a threat Sunday night via Instagram to students at Osborn High School and Baldwin Elementary School, according to Manassas City Police.

A man was shot outside a restaurant after being forced to leave it Friday night, Fairfax County Police say. The man and friends had been thrown out of the business, and a dispute escalated in the parking lot," leading to a security guard shooting the man.
