Action Requested to Ensure Safe Water
Possum Point Power Station is leaking toxic chemicals into our water

Please read this article then contact your elected officials about the Possum Point Power Station in Woodbridge.
The Dominion Virginia Power plant is leaking chemicals - including the “Erin Brockovich chemical” hexavalent chromium - into Occoquan Creek, which flows directly into the Potomac.
Local Republicans and Democrats agree that this is bad for our health.
Please contact your elected representatives and tell them to...
- Delay any decision until after the Virginia Department of Health can test well water in the coal-ash pond area
- Require Dominion to use industry best practices to empty the coal-ash ponds. This means they need to drain the ponds, remove the coal ash, and dispose of it in a dry-lined landfill away from all water sources.
- Seal the leaking “toe drain” that is currently leaking toxic metals into Quantico Creek
- Permanently stop the discharge of coal-ash pollutants
The Prince William County Supervisors are considering filing a lawsuit.
