Dog-A-Pool-Ooza! Lets Local Pets Cool Off in Public Pool

The one-time event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 13, from noon until 4 p.m. for friendly, social dogs who are up to date on vaccinations.

The city of Manassas is offering its dog-owning residents a rare opportunity to take their four-legged friends for a swim in a public pool.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, the city is hosting its Dog-A-Pool-Ooza! event at Stonewall Park Pool on Stonewall Road. The event will run from noon until 4 p.m., and will allow dogs to go for a swim in the pool and to play with one another while in the water.

The cit asks that owners only bring social and friendly dogs, as well as dogs who are up to date on their vaccinations. The city also prohibited participation for any dogs in heat.

The event will only cost pet owners $5 per dog, with a maximum of two dogs per handler. Payments can be made with cash or a check, but not with a debit or credit card.
