Gather your friends and come to Sweets and Sparkles, taking place at Center Street Gourmet Wine and Cheese Shop (9126 Center Street, Manassas, VA) on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. You can support small, local businesses, shop the 2016 spring jewelry collection by Olga Diana and enjoy tasty sweets and treats from SweetPink Bakery, all while sipping wine and sampling snacks from Center Street Gourmet.

Who are these businesses bringing you this fun event? Here’s a little background on each:

• Brenap Jewelry – Jewelry maker Olga Diana will unveil her spring 2016 collection, “Ready to Impress,” at the Sweets and Sparkles event. Olga has been creating unique pieces of jewelry since 2007. She crafts lovely designs using semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, pearls and beads. Her passion lies in custom jewelry. Olga will be on hand to give you a personalized jewelry consultation. If you can’t find the perfect piece at the event, you can work with her to design your own custom piece of jewelry. When designing jewelry for her valued customers, Olga says, “I ask you to think about your personality and style and give me descriptors. Are you whimsical, classic or bold? Do your friends describe you as adventurous, elegant or free-flowing? Then consider what colors and shapes in jewelry make you feel beautiful. I’ll share past pieces and my own ideas with you until we find just the right combination!”

• Sweet Pink Bakery – From traditional cupcake flavors like carrot cake and chocolate to “boozie” cupcakes like margarita and Irish cream, you’re sure to find a fresh-baked cupcake to satisfy your sweet tooth. Yuliana Alcon, owner of Sweet Pink Bakery, has been whipping up delectable treats since 2011. All her confections are baked from scratch with fresh ingredients. You’ll be able to taste the quality when you sink your teeth into these cupcakes. Come out and sample, and bring a box home to share.

• Center Street Gourmet Wine and Cheese Shop – This charming wine and cheese shop has been around for about a year and is making a splash in old town Manassas. Center Street Gourmet is partnering with other local businesses and hosting this event, while providing wine and snacks to fuel your jewelry shopping experience. This shop offers a variety of of tasty delights to take home, too, like olive oil, locally roasted coffee, gourmet salsas, local wine and much more. Peruse their selection while you’re there and take home some savory treats or a good bottle of wine to accompany your cupcakes.
