ESP: Meet Hercules!

Hi, my name is Hercules. I’m actually a shy, little guy, so “Hercules” is a quite ironic name for me. My previous home was hectic –to say the least. There were lots of other dogs (I remember the number being somewhere in the double digits!), so I wasn’t able to get the kind of love and attention that I deserve. I’m doing very well with my current foster mommy, though! She has taken great care to help me with some of my quirks, and I reward her with lots of love and kisses. Every day I feel more comfortable with people and dogs. Although I get along with my foster brothers and sisters, I am still uncomfortable around dogs who get in my face: I’m shy, and being crowded makes me nervous. When I get nervous, I tend to get a little nippy, but I don’t intend to be mean; it’s just that I don’t know what else to do when I feel like a situation is inescapable. I’ve been working really hard at correcting this impulse, though, and have made progress! With that said, a quiet home with patient parents who are understanding of my background would be the best fit for me. I promise you won’t regret making me part of your family, I am a special, loving little boy.
