FedEx Ground Opens New Center in Manassas

FedEx Ground has added a new facility to its Northern Virginia distribution network: a distribution center at 7303 Cushing Road in Manassas.

The new facility adds 69 new employees to the shipping giant’s operation, and is expected to increase hiring, based on demand.

The company noted the location’s easy access to major highways and a strong local community workforce as reasons for the new location.

Since 2005, the company has opened 11 new hubs and expanded or relocated more than 500 local facilities.

“With these changes, FedEx Ground is faster to more overall locations, including more residential locations than the competition,” according to a release.
