National Weather Service Issues Dense Fog Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Northern Virginia until 1 p.m.

The areas in the advisory include Manassas, Manassas Park and Prince William County, including Dale City, Montclair, Lake Ridge and Woodbridge. The NWS added the areas at 10:39 a.m.

The weather service warns that visibility is down to one-quarter mile or less at times. Areas of dense fog will cause sudden reductions in visibility and rapidly changing conditions.

If you’re out driving, slow down, use low-beam lights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you, the NWS warns.
