First‑year head coach Mike Copeland praised Manassas City's support, saying the victory on the Eagles' blue turf belongs to the whole community as the team builds momentum for district play.
   

2. Democrats erased no-bail starting points in 2021. After Ashley Intihar's death, two Republicans want them back (potomaclocal.com) — After a 16‑year‑old girl was fatally shot in Old Town, Manassas‑area lawmakers are split over whether Virginia should restore pre‑2021 bail presumptions that made jail the default for many violent and gun charges. Two local Republicans say they'll back a bill to bring those tougher starting points back, while Democratic Sen. Danica Roem, who represents Manassas and Manassas Park, favors new transparency rules for bond and probation decisions instead. 3. GM locks in Micron chip deal and a $4.5 billion parts reserve to shield production from automotive memory supply pressure (gcn.com) — Micron's expanded DRAM manufacturing at its Manassas plant underpins a new long‑term chip supply deal with General Motors, helping keep automotive memory production steady despite surging AI data‑center demand. For Manassas residents, Micron's $2 billion fab modernization and its role in this agreement signal continued high‑value manufacturing, jobs and investment in the city. 4. Meet Capital Funk, a hip-hop group grooving through the District (gwhatchet.com) — A D.C.-based hip-hop troupe, Capital Funk, is headed to Manassas this fall to compete in the Prelude Dance Competition on November 7, bringing one of the region's biggest street‑dance battles to town.
