Police: Abduction Likely Gang Related

Investigators believe the abduction of a Manassas teen last week was likely gang related.

The victim, 17, told police that he was walking Nov. 4 in the area of Portsmouth Drive near Westgate Apartments when he was approached by a vehicle with four or five Hispanic males, according to Prince William County Police.

The victim was forced into the vehicle by a suspect armed with a machete, according to police. He was driven to the area of Brandon Way and Sudley Manor Drive, where he was forced to exit the vehicle with the suspects.

At some point, the victim was eventually able to get away from the suspects and contact police. No injuries were reported.

Police say the incident was not random.
