Police: Man Gets Assaulted, Robbed on Local Street

One suspect arrested Monday, but two others still at large: Prince William County police.

Detectives with the Prince William County police on Monday arrested an 18-year-old suspect in an assault and robbery on a Manassas-area street.

Jonathan Leonel Aviles, of no fixed addres, was charged with robbery, malicious wounding and assault by mob, according to a police report. He’s being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and his next date in court is pending.

At around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, police said, Aviles and two other men grabbed a 35-year-old Manassas man as he was walking in the 8000 block of Urbanna Road and assaulted him before taking property and fleeing the area.

The victim sustained minor injuries, the police said, and the other two suspects are still at large.
