Police: Pedestrian Struck, Vehicle Sought in Manassas
Victim sustained minor injuries. Plus other incidents reported by Manassas City Police on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016.

Manassas City Police is investigating a hit-and-run incident downtown. The victim sustained minor injuries.
At 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the 63-year-old victim was attempting to cross Battle Street in the crosswalk when a small SUV crossing Center Street struck him with a side mirror before driving away.
Police describe the vehicle as possibly a KIA or Nissan, dark color, driven by a white male, in his 50s, with white hair and beard.

Vandalism to Auto

At approximately 1:05 a.m. on Feb. 2, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9600 block of Ellicott Ln for a report of a vandalism. The reporting party told officers that she was inside her residence when she heard loud noises coming from outside. When she looked outside, she discovered that her vehicle’s front passenger window had been shattered, resulting in $500 worth of damage.
Stolen Auto
On Jan. 30, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on Police Headquarters for a report of a stolen auto. The reporting party told officers that sometime during the overnight hours after 9 p.m. on Jan. 29, his locked vehicle was stolen from where he parked it at the Manassas Train Depot (9431 West St).
Description of stolen vehicle: 2009 silver Nissan Altima, valued at $8,000

Burglary
On Jan. 30, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9200 block of Azure Ln for a report of a burglary. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m., his gaming console and games, valued together at $800, had been stolen from the residence.
Robbery – Arrest
On Jan. 30, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of an alleged robbery that occurred at approximately 1 p.m. on Jan. 28. The victim, a 17-year-old male of Manassas, told officers that he was walking past a group of four males in the area of Byrd Dr and Grant Ave when he was struck on the head from behind. An altercation ensued during which the offender stole the victim’s mp3 player and headphones, valued together at $530. The victim was able to break away and run to safety while the suspect group fled on foot in different directions. Through further investigation, Manassas City Detectives were able to identify the suspect as a 17-year-old juvenile male of Manassas. At approximately 5 p.m. on Feb. 2, the suspect was arrested without incident on the 9800 block of Town Ln. He was charged with Robbery and Gang Participation, and has a pending court date in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
