Suspected Gang Member Arrested in Dumfries Robbery: Police
Prince William County Police say the suspect turned himself in Sunday a couple of weeks after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

DUMFRIES, VA — A suspected gang member who, along with another suspect, allegedly beat and robbed a Dumfries man before trying to get him to give them cash from an ATM Aug. 18 was arrested Sunday after turning himself in at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.
Darius Lamont Davis, 21, of the 18300 block of Chestnut Point in Triangle, was charged with robbery, abduction, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police say shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 18, they responded to the 18000 block of Fraley Boulevard in Dumfries to investigate a robbery.

The victim, a 42-year-old Dumfries man, told police he was walking in the area of White Haven Drive and Main Street when two acquaintances appeared, punched him in the face, took his cell phone and then, at gunpoint, took him to a nearby business that had an ATM.
But a Dumfries cop on routine patrol entered the business and the suspects fled, after which the victim alerted the officer to what had happened.

Detectives from the Gang Unit later identified one of the suspects as Davis.
He's being held without bond.
