Third Shooting Suspect in Custody, Fourth Man Sought

MANASSAS, VA — A third suspect is in custody in a shooting Sept. 25 in Manassas. A fourth suspect is still at large.

William “Ruda” Tapscott, 26, of 8292 Humphrey Ln, Manassas, with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Shooting Missiles at a Vehicle.

Arrested Sunday, Tapscott is being held without bond.

On Sept. 25, a 24-year-old Annapolis man was found on Stevens Court. He had been critically wounded by gunfire, according to Manassas Police.

Antoine Johneas “Heavy” Mason, a fourth suspect identified throughout the course of the investigation, is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.
