Three Mopeds Stolen, Hit-And-Run Sends Car 15 Feet: Manassas Crime Report
Other vehicle damage, man assaulted and a rape arrest in daily police reports from Manassas City Police.

Three mopeds have been stolen in the last week in Manassas, according to investigators.
Officers responded Thursday to a report of two mopeds stolen overnight in the front yard of a home in the 9000 block of Mcrea Court.
Together, the mopeds were valued at $6,500. One of them was located with some damage in a wooded area near the house, according to Manassas Police. The remaining missing moped is a blue and gray 2015 Kaitong.

On Sunday afternoon, officers responded to another report of a stolen moped, this time in front of The Bone at 9420 Battle Street. The orange Tao Tao moped was stolen between noon and 3 p.m. It was valued at $120.

Early Thursday, a Manassas resident reported a hit-and-run in the 8200 block of Stonewall Road.
The victim said his vehicle was struck sometime between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., sustaining major damage.
Police report that the car was moved 15 feet from where it was parked.

Larceny
On August 30, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a citizen for a report of a larceny. The reporting party told officers that at approximately 10:30PM on the 29th, someone stole his wallet out of his vehicle while it was parked outside of Exxon (9879 Liberia Ave) and he was inside the store. The vehicle was unsecured at the time of the theft.
Vandalism to Auto
On August 30, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 8700 block of Richmond Ave for a report of a vandalism. The reporting party told officers that sometime between10:45PM on August 29th and 12:50AM on August 30th, someone left numerous scratch marks on her vehicle, causing $400.00 in damage. Upon further investigation, officers also observed another vehicle nearby that had similar scratches, with damages estimated at $600.00.
Destruction of Property
On August 27, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 10200 block of Nantucket Ct for a report of a vandalism. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 4:30PM on August 26th and 3:30PM on August 27th, the rear passenger’s side window of their vehicle had been shattered, causing $150.00 in damage. Nothing was reported stolen out of the vehicle.
Aggravated Assault
During the early morning hours of of August 28, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of an assault that had just occurred. The victim told officers that at approximately 10:00PM on the 27th, he was walking towards his residence when two males approached him. The victim said the first suspect struck him in the face and a fight ensued among all three. The victim sustained a serious but non-life-threatening injury and the suspects were last seen fleeing on foot.
- Description of suspects: (1) Black male, late 20s or early 30s, 6’, clean-shaven with a thin build, short brown hair, black t-shirt and long blue shorts; (2) Black male, late 20s or early 30s, 5’9”, 200lbs, with short dreadlocks, a white t-shirt with a red logo, and blue or black pants.
Larceny from Motor Vehicle
On August 28, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to Home Services Unlimited (9109 Euclid Ave) for a report of a larceny. The reporting party told officers that sometime betweenmidnight on August 25th and 6:30AM on August 28th, someone stole a Meyer plow pump valued at $1,200.00 from one of the vehicles on site.

Rape – Arrest
At approximately 10:10PM on August 28, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 9300 block of Mathis Ave for a report of a rape that had just occurred. The victim, a 19-year-old female of Manassas, told officers that she was watching television with an acquaintance, Rico Von FIGAROORE, when FIGAROORE forcibly assaulted her. FIGAROORE, 19, of 9315 Mathis Ave was charged with rape and held without bond. FIGAROORE has a pending court date of October 8, 2015.
