7 Churches Burglarized In Fairfax County; Loudoun Man Arrested: Police
A Sterling man was arrested for burglaries at seven churches across Fairfax County between April 11 and Aug. 12, according to police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA —A 56-year-old Sterling man was arrested and charged in connection with burglaries at seven Fairfax County churches since April, according to police.
Officers responded around 9:42 a.m. for the report of a burglary at a church in the 8200 block of Little River Turnpike in Annandale. A preliminary investigation revealed that someone entered the church overnight and tried to steal some property, according to police.
Through their investigation, detectives from FCPD's Criminal Investigation Division identified 56-year-old Steven Hildner of Sterling as a suspect in the case.

With the help of the Leesburg Police Department, detectives executed a search warrant at Hildner's home in Loudoun County. Police say they collected evidence linking Hildner to seven burglaries at churches from April 11 through Aug. 12 at the following locations:

Police arrested Hildner last Tuesday and charged him with five counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, and petit larceny. He was held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
