BASIS Independent McLean Opens New Twos Program

Tysons Corner School Introduces Year-round Program for 2 Year Olds for 2019-2020 School Year

BASIS Independent McLean (BIM) of McLean, Va. is now taking applications for its new Twos Program for children 2 years old to 3 years old, specializing in language and literacy, the arts, STEM discovery, and social and emotional health. Admissions for the Twos Program is now open. For more information on BASIS Independent McLean’s Twos Program, visit: https://mclean.basisindependent.com/academics/.

The program lays the necessary building blocks for physical, social, emotional, and language growth, while inspiring every child to develop a love of learning. Each classroom is led by two teachers who specialize in early childhood education, and who guide students in reaching age-appropriate milestones and create open-ended activities that foster flexibility of the mind and emphasize the thinking process.

“Through being a part of the Twos Program, children learn about themselves and their world,” says Tiffany Conroy, head of school for BASIS Independent McLean of McLean, Va. “In addition to providing them with an excellent foundation for future years in the BASIS Curriculum, we know our program will foster children’s natural curiosity, expand their ability to think deeply and help them build relationships, which are skills they will use throughout their life,” said Conroy.
