Candidates, Deadlines For 2018 Primary Election In McLean
Republicans and Democrats will choose their candidates vying for Barbara Comstock's seat in Congress.

McLean is ramping up for another election season as the June 12 primary election approaches. While statewide elections happened last year, 2018 elections focus on federal and municipal elections. The primary elections will determine the candidates moving on to the Nov. 6 general election if there are multiple challengers in a political party.
In McLean, voters can either participate in the Democratic or Republican primaries for the 10th congressional district, currently represented by Barbara Comstock. Republicans will also choose a candidate to challenge Sen. Tim Kaine in the November general election.
Separately, residents of the McLean Community Center tax district will vote for members of the 2018-2019 MCC Governing Board on Saturday, May 19.
