Dominion Energy's Project Plant It! Cultivates Learning at Spring Hill Elementary

Educational program connects kids with the environment

Students at Spring Hill Elementary in McLean, Va., recently planted a magnolia tree to culminate their study of trees and the environment with Dominion Energy's Project Plant It! program. During the spring, students learned about the many benefits of trees to the ecosystem through lesson plans in STEM subjects like math and science. To view lesson plans and indoor/outdoor activities, as well as educational videos and fun games about trees, visit www.projectplantit.com. All of the instructional materials on the website can be downloaded at no charge and the lesson plans can easily be adapted to all ages and grade levels.
