Five Juveniles Rescued Thursday Night from Swollen Stream in McLean
Heavy rainstorm dumped water on area streams and rivers late Thursday afternoon.

Five juveniles were rescued from a rock in the middle of a swollen stream Thursday night in the McLean area by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue teams.
The juveniles were brought to shore using two rescue boats on Difficult Run, near the Madeira School, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Technician Shawn Crisp. A rescue team launched the boats from Great Falls Park, Crisp said.
The area surrounding the stream is very woodsy and filled with rocks and creeks.
