"We begin training new employees once they are onboarded so that they are prepared for opening day," said store manager Kevin Russell. "They receive some of the most in-depth culinary, service, and product education in the industry."
The Wegmans location, part of the Capital One Center, will be near the McLean Metro station as well as the Capital Beltway and Route 123 interchange. The 80,000-square-foot store will include a Market Café with indoor and outdoor seating and The Burger Bar, a restaurant counter with burgers, salads, sandwiches, specialty milkshakes, soups and sides. The grocery store will be below residential units and a rooftop park, while parking will be provided below the store. According to one job listing, store hours will be 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
