Three Suspects Apprehended After Robbery at Tysons Corner Center, Brief Pursuit

The suspects were spotted in their getaway car on I-495 and tried to evade authorities before eventually being pulled over.

Three Washington, D.C., residents were apprehended and charged with grand larceny after swiping merchandise from a store at Tysons Corner Center earlier this week, Fairfax County Police reported Friday.

An employee in loss prevention at the mall contacted Fairfax County Police on Thursday evening at approximately 9:20 p.m. reporting a suspect fled the mall with stolen goods.

After a lookout was given, the suspects and their getaway car were located on Interstate 495. When authorities tracked down the car on 495 and signaled for it to pull over, it instead sped away. After “a brief pursuit,” the car was stopped and the three suspects were arrested.
