TYSONS, VA — Veteran Ventures Capital, a veteran-led and -owned capital firm, will be moving its headquarters from Knoxville, Tennessee to Spaces at The Loft at the Borough on Broad Street, according to news reports. The new HQ is steps away from the Greensboro Metro Station and Tysons Galleria.

Derren Burrell, VVC's founder and managing partner, is no stranger to the region, having spent several tours in the area during his 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force, according to the Washington Business Journal. He joins general partner Josh Weed, who is already based in Northern Virgina.

Weed told WBJ reporter Nate Doughty that the D.C. region has a greater concentration of companies owned by veterans compared to the rest of the U.S. For this reason, VVC's partners believed that moving to the area would enable the company to achieve more meaningful growth than they would be able to if they stayed in Tennessee.
