Female Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed, Assaulted Sunday Night
Police dog and helicopter searched for the suspect described as being about 6 feet tall wearing a baggy shirt, baggy pants and tennis shoes.

A 20-year old female pizza delivery driver was assaulted and robbed Sunday night in the Mount Vernon area, police said.
The incident took place Sunday at about 8:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Melon St. (see map below). The woman had just made a pizza delivery and was walking back to her car when she was approached by an unknown man, police said.
The suspect pushed the victim’s head against her car and demanded money, according to police. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and sustained minor injuries. The suspect fled toward the Washington Square apartments, police said.

A K9 team and the police helicopter responded. The suspect was described as mixed race, about 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a baggy jacket with buttons on the sleeves, baggy pants and tennis shoes.
