Snow Timeline as Storm Hits Mount Vernon

Just when winter looked finished, it’s bringing one more hard blast to the region Thursday.

A winter storm warning is in effect from midnight until 9 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Vernon could see 8 inches of snow.

We’ll wake up with a layer of snow on the ground, and it will continue falling, and accumulating, throughout the day.

Here’s a breakdown of the snow timeline, according to the National Weather Service.

• an additional 1.8 inches by 10 a.m.
• an additional 2.0 inches by 1 p.m.
• an additional 2.0 inches by 6 p.m.
