Wilson Brige Half Marathon Draws Thousands

Runners gathered at Mount Vernon Estate before dawn this morning.

Thousands of runners gathered in the pre-dawn chill at this morning at the start of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Half Marathon. Runners left the Estate grounds just after 7:30 a.m., ran up the closed George Washington Parkway and crossed the Wilson Bridge, ending at National Harbor.

The temperature at the start was 44 degrees. Sunrise this morning was at 7:04 a.m.
